Learn the fundamentals of hand-building as you create a wall pocket (or two smaller ones!) with 5lbs of provided clay!

Form wall pockets by attaching cut pieces of slabbed clay. Explore different shapes and textures to add to the surface design by pressing in lace, stamps, plants, bark, leaves, and other found objects while thinking about positive/negative space. Customize your piece! Participants are welcome to bring in their own items (small objects with texture or patterns) to press into the clay.

During this class, you'll be able to use a variety of tools, rollers, cutters, molds, lace, stamps etc. (no wheel) and you'll glaze your piece(s) with Stroke & Coat glazes (102 colors to pick from!!) before you leave. All pottery is kiln-fired with up to a 4-week turnaround time.

Outside snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed during this event (however I wouldn’t recommend finger foods as your hands will be pretty messy throughout the class!) Time with the goats is included IF you finish your pottery & cleanup your work space before the allotted time is over.

**Aprons are provided but playing with clay can be pretty messy so wearing junky clothes is advised. All sales are final, no refunds given. Your pottery will be held for 30 days after it is ready for pickup. Seating is limited and all attendees must register.**
